Job Description

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistants to provide high-quality care and support to residents in an Independent Adult Living Environment. The ideal candidate will have compassion and experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring memory care, and will be committed to enhancing residents' quality of life through personalized assistance and compassionate caregiving. This role involves assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a warm, respectful environment that promotes independence and dignity. Responsibilities Maintains written records reports changes in residents condition to supervisor Interact and remind residents of activites and medical appointments Assist residents with daily activities and participate in direct personal care as needed. measure and record weight, temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration. Attend training as required by the facility Administrator such as
DOH, OSHA, CDC
Maintain cleanliness of resident areas and assist with light housekeeping tasks Respond promptly to resident calls and needs, demonstrating excellent caregiving skills Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding resident status Experience Must be at least 18 years of age. HS/GED preferred. Must be able to attend training and receive certification in First Aid and CPR. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behavior management techniques a plus Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is a plus Familiarity with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and EMR systems is beneficial Previous caregiving roles involving personal care home or group home environments are advantageous Background in social work or home & community support services can enhance effectiveness in this role This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by providing compassionate, professional care within a supportive team environment.
