Job Description

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland is seeking empathetic and caring staff to lead us at our St. Elizabeth's Shelter for homeless men in Lorain County. Program Statement:
Catholic Charities has been a steadfast provider of food and shelter to Lorain residents for over 20 years! The St. Elizabeth Center provides a place in central Lorain for persons who are homeless, hungry, or otherwise vulnerable to receive assistance. Today, many faith groups, businesses, civic organizations, and individual volunteers support is what has truly become a multi-purpose center serving the greater Lorain Community.
What you will be doing:
Coordinate residential assistant coverage on all shifts (24 hours a day/7 days a week) through consultation with management. May hire, evaluate performance, discipline and terminate shelter assistants with consultation of management. Conduct shelter assistant training in various areas. Monitor the medication check-in process to ensure staff compliance with adherence to established procedures. Co-facilitate monthly shelter assistant meetings with program director and/or case management supervisor. Monitor residents' activities and enforce program conduct guidelines and/or rules as warranted. Supervise alcohol/drug dependent clients as warranted by program. Provide client support and guidance. Education Preferred High School or better
