Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Support Services Assistant in our Residential Program at Susquehanna Harbor Safe Haven, where your compassionate care and proactive support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of male long-term residents. Provide direct supportive services for the program, operating independently for portions of the shift. Manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a structured program with professionalism.
Primary Shift:
11 pm-7am (3rd shift) Sat. & Sun., as assigned. Responsibilities Conduct documented hourly building rounds Maintain safety and supervision of common areas Assist with meal service, cleaning, and other duties as needed to maintain program operations Assist with medication support procedures according to program policy Answer telephone calls and provide and document appropriate information Complete required shift documentation Enforce program policies and maintain professional boundaries Support resident accountability and daily structure via active engagement Responsible for building management while on solo duty Q ualifications Associate's degree in human services or related field preferred; equivalent experience in human services, shelter, recovery, or related field preferred Experience in relating to or working with individuals dealing with homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance abuse issues Strong documentation and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Dependable, accountable, and willingness to accept supervision Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Ability to do basic meal preparation and housekeeping chores
Primary Shift:
11 pm-7am (3rd shift) Sat. & Sun., as assigned. Weekend availability required, as well as occasional availability to work holidays CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification Acceptable criminal background and child abuse history checks
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 20.0 per week
