Position Summary Juniper Haven is seeking dependable and compassionate Overnight Residential Support Specialists to support adolescent girls in our residential treatment program. Our team is committed to providing a safe, structured, and supportive environment for residents who may be experiencing behavioral, emotional, mental health, or substance-use challenges. The Overnight Residential Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the night. This position provides supervision during sleeping hours, responds to resident needs, completes required documentation and safety checks, and helps ensure the residence is prepared for the following day. Because this position works during overnight hours, reliability, attentiveness, sound judgment, and the ability to respond appropriately to unexpected situations are essential. Essential Responsibilities Provide overnight supervision of residents and maintain awareness of resident activity and safety throughout the shift. Complete required resident checks and rounds according to Juniper Haven procedures and document them accurately. Respond promptly and appropriately when residents wake during the night or require assistance. Maintain a calm, supportive, and professional environment while reinforcing program expectations, boundaries, and routines. Utilize trauma-informed approaches when interacting with residents. Recognize potential safety concerns, behavioral changes, or unusual circumstances and communicate them promptly to appropriate staff. Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary, following established procedures and training. Complete accurate and timely documentation of observations, incidents, resident interactions, and other required information. Maintain resident confidentiality and follow all privacy and documentation requirements. Communicate relevant overnight information to incoming staff to support continuity of care. Complete assigned overnight responsibilities and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe residential environment. Participate in required staff meetings, training, supervision, and professional development. Follow all Juniper Haven policies, procedures, safety requirements, and treatment program expectations. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and serve as a positive role model for residents. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age . High school diploma or equivalent required. Education or training in psychology, social work, behavioral health, human services, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in a residential treatment center, behavioral health program, group home, youth program, or similar environment is preferred. Experience working with adolescents is preferred. Understanding of trauma-informed care, adolescent development, crisis intervention, and behavioral management techniques is beneficial. Strong communication, observation, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and use sound judgment during stressful or unexpected situations. Must be dependable and able to remain alert and attentive throughout the overnight shift. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidential information. Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, background checks, certifications, and training.
