The Peer Coach is a member of a multidisciplinary team providing an outpatient recovery experience in Lenawee County, MI. The Peer Coach engages all clients with chronic substance use conditions and assists the client in managing efforts to achieve long-term recovery. Assists peers in establishing goals, developing recovery action plans, solving problems, finding sober housing, making new friends, finding new uses for spare time, and improving one's job skills. Job responsibilities include running group sessions for engagement, recovery, education, and prevention with both teens and adults. Maintenance of client files including personal progress notes and group notes as necessary. Consultation with team members regarding client progress and service plans. Provides Crisis on-call assistance for clients as well as support for clients engaged in Drug Treatment Court. This position is part-time.
