Responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medicaid Eligibility Support Coordinator to manage the full Medicaid application process for new and converting residents for an assigned group of nursing centers. Duties in this remote role include gathering documents, submitting applications, tracking cases through approval/denial, and managing Medicaid Pending accounts receivable. Position Highlights Manage the financial and clinical aspects of the Medicaid application process. Proactively identify residents needing Medicaid. Communicate with families, explain the process, and gather required documents. Obtain necessary authorizations and coordinate the collection of financial documentation. Collaborate with nursing center staff on clinical eligibility. Submit applications within 30 days and maintain accurate records. Monitor application progress and respond to information requests. Track cases in an Open Caseload Report/PCC. Escalate complex cases and coordinate referrals as needed. Inform relevant parties of denials and coverage gaps. Encourage Resident Fund Management/Direct Deposit and complete spousal estimates. Participate in case and aging reviews. Conduct weekly calls with Business Office personnel.
