Job Description

Life Enrichment Aide - Independent Senior Living Vassar-Warner Home Poughkeepsie, NY Vassar-Warner Home is seeking a compassionate, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented Life Enrichment Aide to join our senior living community. The Life Enrichment Aide plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, engaging, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents and program participants. This is a multi-functional resident support position. While Life Enrichment activities and resident engagement are an important part of the role, this position also includes assisting with meal service, dining room responsibilities, bed making, light housekeeping, laundry, resident room support, and general community operations. The Life Enrichment Aide primarily supports residents of our Independent Senior Living community and may also assist participants in our Social Adult Day Care and Respite Care programs. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with older adults, takes initiative, notices what needs to be done, and is willing to help wherever needed to make our residents' experience the best it can be. Qualifications Compassionate and respectful attitude toward older adults. Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently. Willingness to perform a variety of duties throughout the workday. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to take initiative and recognize tasks that need attention. Comfortable assisting with activities, dining services, housekeeping, laundry, and general resident support. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, are helpful. Ability to maintain resident privacy and confidentiality. Preferred Experience Previous experience in independent senior living, assisted living, adult day programs, senior recreation, hospitality, housekeeping, dining services, home and community-based services, or another senior care environment is preferred but not required. Experience working with older adults, including individuals experiencing cognitive changes or memory impairment, is a plus.
