New Leaf Recreation Therapy LLC Make a Difference by Teaching Real-World Skills New Leaf Recreation Therapy LLC is seeking dependable, compassionate, and motivated Life Skills Coachs to work with children and youth receiving services through Wisconsin's Children's Long-Term Support (CLTS) Program . This is a flexible, contract-based position where providers work one-on-one with youth to help them develop practical skills that promote independence, confidence, community participation, and successful transition into adulthood . Providers have the flexibility to build their caseload around their own availability and the availability of clients. What You'll Do Life Skills Providers work directly with youth in their homes and throughout the community. Sessions are individualized based on each client's needs, interests, goals, and level of independence.
Activities may include:
Teaching budgeting, money management, and responsible spending Grocery shopping and learning how to compare prices and make purchasing decisions Cooking, meal planning, and basic kitchen skills Learning household responsibilities and organization Developing time-management and planning skills Practicing communication and appropriate social interactions Community integration and navigating community environments Using public resources and community services Developing transportation and travel skills Practicing appropriate workplace and employment-related skills Teaching personal responsibility and decision-making Supporting youth in becoming more independent Participating in recreational and community activities that reinforce life skills Helping youth practice skills in real-world settings rather than simply discussing them Developing individualized activities based on each client's goals and interests Documenting sessions and client progress The goal is to help each youth become more confident, capable, responsible, and independent in everyday life. Schedule & Flexibility This is a 1099 independent contractor position . Providers have significant flexibility in determining their schedules. Choose the clients you would like to work with based on availability Build your caseload around your personal schedule Determine how many clients you would like to serve Providers may see as many clients as they are able to appropriately accommodate Sessions are scheduled around both the provider's and client's availability Opportunities may be available during after-school hours, evenings, weekends, and other times depending on client needs There is no requirement to maintain a minimum caseload This position can be a great fit for someone looking for part-time, flexible work or for someone interested in building a larger caseload. Transportation & Mileage Providers use their own reliable vehicle to transport themselves to and from community-based sessions. Mileage incurred while providing services during a session is reimbursed according to company policy.
Providers must have:
A reliable vehicle A valid driver's license Current auto insurance The ability to safely travel with clients when transportation is part of the planned service Qualifications We are looking for individuals who are dependable, patient, creative, and comfortable working independently with youth. Ideal candidates may have experience in: Life skills instruction Youth development Education Human services Social work Recreation therapy Behavioral health Special education Child development Community-based services Disability services Mentoring or coaching Relevant education or professional experience is preferred but not necessarily required. We are especially interested in applicants who have strong practical life skills, good communication abilities, and a genuine interest in helping young people become more independent.
