Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Juvenile Services Recovery Coach/Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) to empower youth on their journey to recovery and resilience. In this vital role, you will provide mentorship, crisis intervention, and behavioral health support to young individuals navigating mental health challenges, substance use issues, and behavioral concerns. Responsibilities Engage with juvenile clients through mentoring, motivational interviewing, and behavioral health coaching to promote recovery and personal development Conduct crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations and ensure safety for youth and staff Provide addiction counseling support, emphasizing harm reduction strategies and relapse prevention techniques Collaborate with mental health professionals, social workers, and family members to develop individualized care plans that address each youth's unique needs Maintain accurate documentation of services provided using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards Offer ongoing social work support by connecting youth with community resources, educational opportunities, and support networks Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and case reviews to enhance service quality and stay current on best practices in behavioral health care This position will be required to work evenings and some weekends Qualifications Proven experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, or behavioral health settings working with youth or vulnerable populations Knowledge of mental health counseling techniques, addiction counseling methods, and social work principles Strong skills in motivational interviewing to foster engagement and motivate positive change Excellent mentoring abilities combined with compassionate communication skills Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly while maintaining a positive attitude Recovery Coach Certification is preferred. Pay:
From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
