6 North Kansas City, MO Job Details Full-time 15 hours ago Qualifications Nursing department supervision RN License Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree in nursing Clinical team leadership Full Job Description Our Neonatal ICU, Mother-Baby, Labor & Delivery, Lactation, and Perinatal Education departments, with 150-200 deliveries a month, two Operating Rooms for cesarean sections, and an average daily census of eight NICU babies, our units are busy, fast-paced, and offer the opportunity to provide specialty and critical care in a collaborative and supportive environment. Our hospital has earned the Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care from The Joint Commission, setting us apart in the community as a leader in maternal and neonatal care. We work closely with Children's Mercy neonatology specialists who staff our NICU and delivery team 24/7, as well as respiratory care and other specialists, to provide the best possible outcomes. Our culture values each team member's expertise and input, creating a positive, patient-centered experience for our families.
SUMMARY:
Provides strategic and operational leadership for Maternal Child Health services across the continuum of care, including obstetrics, postpartum, newborn nursery, lactation, and neonatal care. Ensures safe, efficient, family-centered, and cost-effective care through evidence-based practice, quality improvement, regulatory readiness, workforce development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
EXPERIENCE
3 years in nursing management, preferably in Maternal Child Health, women's services, neonatal, or related service-line leadership.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Experience in data analysis, performance improvement, patient experience, clinical quality metrics, regulatory/accreditation standards, and interdisciplinary program development preferred.
OTHER:
Basic computer skills. Certifications as appropriate to clinical background.
