The Youth & Family Services Program Director supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Under the direction of the Youth & Family Services Director, this role is responsible for leading the development and operations with a primary focus on After School Child Care (ASCC) programs. Qualifications:
•Compensation will be determined commensurate qualifications and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in education, early childhood, recreation, human services or equivalent. Two or more year's related supervisory experience in school-aged childcare, teen programming, and/or day camp programming. Must be at least 20 years old and able to drive bus. Clean driving record required. Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements, YMCA standards and ACA standards for day camps. Must have good interpersonal, public relations and communications skills, including the ability to make oral presentations. Skills in staff and volunteer supervision, values education, community program development, and fund raising. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations. Incumbents must complete mandatory training in New Staff Orientation, BBP/Child Abuse Prevention and CPR/1st Aid/AED training within 30 days of employment.
