Job Description

Job Summary:
The Family Violence Program Director / Community Educator provides leadership and oversight of FSST's family violence, shelter, advocacy, and community education services. The Director ensures effective, trauma-informed, survivor-centered services in compliance with FSST policies, contractual requirements, applicable laws and regulations, accreditation standards, and funding requirements. The Director supervises assigned staff, oversees program and shelter operations, monitors service quality and outcomes, supports community education and outreach, and coordinates with internal programs and community partners.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, criminal justice, human services, or a related field preferred. Candidates without the preferred degree may be considered with relevant education, training, and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in domestic violence, sexual assault, shelter operations, victim advocacy, behavioral health, substance use services, or related services.
Experience and Skills:
Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, stalking, or other victimization. Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health concerns, substance use disorders, or co-occurring behavioral health needs. Experience coordinating mental health, substance use treatment, recovery, crisis intervention, or behavioral health referrals. Supervisory and program management experience preferred. Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics, trauma-informed care, survivor advocacy, and crisis intervention. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and public speaking skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries and work effectively with diverse populations. Ability to use electronic documentation systems and maintain accurate records.
