32117 Manages workload distribution, work activities, productivity, procedural and process compliance to ensure efficiency. Assigns volunteers to jobs within the organization where help is needed and volunteers' skills are utilized. Ensures team assignment of volunteers is adequate to supplement patient care services and distribute the workload efficiently. Develops, reviews, revises, and implements processes, policies, and procedures for Volunteer Services to improve productivity, workflow, and efficiency. Assists with the analysis and preparation of departmental reports and statistics. Communicates with Operational Unit Managers, Directors, teams, patient caregivers, and family members to assess and respond to needs for volunteers. Supervises compliance by volunteers for all annual testing requirements. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Collaborates with the Human Resources Department in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching functions. Addresses complaints and assists in resolving employee relation issues in collaboration with the Human Resources Department. Rewards employees appropriately and evaluates performance in a timely manner using the organization's employee evaluation forms. Plans, assigns, and directs work of directly supervised staff. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organization skills with attention to detail and solid computer skills are essential and required.
- Demonstrated ability to present effective and compelling messages to individuals, groups, and the public. [Required]
- Ability to partner with Leadership Team to develop volunteer roles. [Required]
- Must have strong diplomacy and collaborative skills, must be a strong facilitator and have the ability to work independently as well as within a matrix organization. [Required]
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment and have solid creative problem-solving skills. [Required]
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and database applications. [Required]
- Strong organizational skills, highly detail oriented. [Required]
- Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends for events. [Required]
- Must always conduct self in a professional manner. [Required]
- Must be hard working and ethical. [Required]
- Develops and maintains positive, constructive relationships with all Volunteers. [Required]
- Demonstrates outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. [Required]
- Volunteer management experience preferred.

Education:
- Associate in business, management or health care-related field. [Preferred]
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
- 2-year college degree; or a high school diploma
- 4-year college degree in business, management or health care-related field.
Work Experience:
- 1+ experience working with volunteers (or similar service industry) [Required]
- 2+ experience managing volunteers (or similar service industry) upon hire [Required]
Additional Information:
N/A Licenses and Certifications:
- Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
