Bettendorf, Iowa Hours:
Minimum of 12 hours (2 shifts) per week. Daily shift options are 6AM-12PM and 12PM-6PM About Foundation 2 Crisis Services Foundation 2 Crisis Services is a mission-driven, non-profit organization that provides critical crisis intervention and prevention services across Iowa. We operate a 24/7 crisis center, including phone, text, and chat services. We also operate an emergency youth shelter, mental health support groups, community-based crisis programs, training, and more. We have been saving lives for over 50 years. Join our team today! Overview of the role Coordinate and respond to dispatches within the Foundation 2 Mobile Crisis Outreach service area during scheduled hours. Offer compassionate, objective, client centered counseling to individuals. Assist individuals and families with connection to local resources and community providers. Advocate for clients in navigating various social systems. Complete required documentation and maintain client files in accordance with program policies in a timely manner. This is an on-call position that requires a minimum of 12 hours per week (two, 6-hour shifts) based on counselor availability and schedule needs.
Wages & Benefits:
Counselors earn: $4.00 - $35.00 per hour $4.00/hour to be on-call $35.00/hour ($40.60/hour on holidays) per hour when dispatched for an in-person crisis counseling and completing paperwork $15/hour when attending meetings and trainings Quarterly wellness benefit reimbursements to support a sense of wellbeing. What You'll Do:
Coordinate and respond to dispatches within the Foundation 2 Mobile Crisis Outreach service area during scheduled hours. Offer compassionate, objective, client centered counseling to individuals. Assist individuals and families with connection to local resources and community providers. Advocate for clients in navigating various social systems. Complete required documentation and maintain client files in accordance with program policies in a timely manner. What you need Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field required and one (1) or more years relevant experience. Comfort using basic computer software (electronic health record system) Basic typing and data entry skills. Excellent writing and grammar skills. Valid driver's license and be insurable by the agency auto insurance policy. Pass all background checks completed by Foundation 2 Crisis Services. Submit copy of college degree or transcript as required by licensure for personnel file. Successfully complete required trainings within required time periods. Attend all MCO trainings within 120 days of hire (40 hours, including two (2) consecutive eight (8) hour days). Experience in crisis services preferred.
