Volunteer Coordinator

Job Description

We are searching with a Volunteer Coordinator to work with a non profit organization. Pay $47,000, M-F with occassional weekend or evening work required. Accountabilities Responsible for the development of a robust volunteer program in the Greater New Orleans facility. Responsible for volunteer recruitment using a variety of methods including the cultivation of relationships with external partners within the community. Responsible for management of volunteers using volunteer software and overseeing the welcome, orientation and supervision of volunteers while on site. Responsible for accurately tracking and reporting on volunteer activity. Promotes by giving facility tours and speaking with community groups. Assist with special events in the Greater New Orleans area and surrounding parishes. Works under the supervision and direction of the Community Engagement Manager to recruit and provide volunteer opportunities across the Greater New Orleans area and surrounding parishes. Participate in meetings and committees as appropriate. Comply with all policies and procedures. Maintain a professional, positive, and courteous demeanor. Perform other duties as assigned to meet company needs.
Job Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience in community outreach, volunteer coordination, or relationship management.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with volunteer management software and data tracking tools.
Communication:
Strong public speaking skills for facility tours and community presentations.
Adaptability:
Flexibility to assist with weekend or evening special events as needed.
Interpersonal Skills:
Exceptional courteousness and a team-first mindset to support cross-departmental goals.
Local Knowledge:
Familiarity with the Greater New Orleans area and surrounding parishes is highly preferred.
Pay:
$47,000.00 per year
