Job Overview We are seeking a mission-driven individual to join our Program Leadership Team. The Volunteer Coordinator works closely with staff, volunteers, families, and community partners to support high-quality programming, strengthen community engagement, and maintain a mission-centered environment. Duties will include leadership of our volunteer program and regular participation in the after school program on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Responsibilities Volunteer Coordination Recruit, screen, and orient volunteers for afterschool program, summer camp program, and community initiatives Maintain volunteer schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for program needs Match volunteers to roles based on program needs, volunteer skills and interests Communicate clearly with volunteers regarding expectations Support volunteer engagement, retention, appreciation, and recognition efforts Help prepare materials, supplies, and spaces for volunteer-supported activities Provide on-site guidance and direction to volunteers during programs and events Support safe, organized, and welcoming program areas for children, families, volunteers, and community members Volunteer Data Maintenance Maintain accurate volunteer records Track volunteer hours and prepare volunteer-related reports Corporate Compliance Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety procedures, and requirements Coordinate volunteer clearances, background checks, and documentation Support volunteer orientation and training related to program expectations, boundaries, safety, confidentiality, and mandated reporting obligations Ensure volunteers understand their roles Communicate concerns, incidents, or policy issues promptly Outreach and Relationship Building Support outreach efforts to engage new volunteers Build positive relationships with volunteers, families, staff, and community members Assist with community activities, outreach events, neighborhood initiatives, and family engagement opportunities Volunteer Program Evaluation Monitor volunteer participation and identify scheduling and training needs Gather feedback from staff and volunteers to improve the volunteer experience Identify opportunities to strengthen volunteer systems and communication Afterschool Program Supervise up to 12 children 3 afternoons per week in the Afterschool Program Oversee adult volunteer(s) assigned to your student group Requirements A minimum of an associate's degree with a bachelor's degree preferred Two years of experience in community programs education, social service or customer service Working with school aged children and adults in an academic or recreational setting preferred; as well as experience with volunteer coordination or program scheduling Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations Reliable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Experience using MS Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and Canva Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries A commitment to a mission and values-based environment Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly valued Operating knowledge of, experience with and ability to use personal computers with office software, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines PA criminal, PA child abuse and FBI clearances required• Current and valid driver's license/insurance for driving duties Join us to lead impactful programs that have a significant impact on youth and the community! Pay:

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
