Part-Time Position Summary Stepping Stones Community Services, LLC is seeking an energetic, dependable, and youth-centered Youth Group Facilitator to lead structured group programming for children, adolescents, and young adults. The Youth Group Facilitator creates a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where participants can develop social-emotional skills, healthy relationships, decision-making abilities, life skills, and positive connections with peers and adults. Facilitators are responsible for implementing agency-approved curriculum and activities while adapting their approach to meet the developmental, behavioral, and individual needs of youth participating in the program. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Facilitate structured youth groups, workshops, and skill-building activities. Implement agency-approved curriculum and lesson plans. Lead discussions and activities related to topics such as: Social-emotional learning Communication and conflict resolution Anger and emotional regulation Healthy relationships and boundaries Self-esteem and confidence Decision-making and problem-solving Goal setting and motivation Financial literacy and employment readiness Independent living and daily life skills Leadership and teamwork Develop positive, professional relationships with youth while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Encourage participation and create an environment where youth feel respected, included, and supported. Use trauma-informed and strength-based approaches when working with participants. Redirect challenging or disruptive behaviors using positive behavioral interventions. Recognize and respond appropriately to youth who may be experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties. Supervise youth and maintain awareness of participant safety throughout programming. Assist with recreational, educational, community-based, and enrichment activities. Provide transportation for youth when required by the assigned program or service. Communicate professionally with parents/caregivers, case managers, agency staff, and other professionals as appropriate. Complete attendance records, progress documentation, incident reports, case notes, and other required documentation accurately and within agency deadlines. Immediately report safety concerns, suspected abuse or neglect, significant behavioral concerns, and other required incidents according to agency policy. Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, supervision, and professional development. Maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies and applicable contractual requirements. Perform additional program-related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, or families. Ability to effectively engage and manage groups of youth. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to challenging behaviors or conflict. Dependable, flexible, and able to work independently. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Current automobile insurance meeting agency requirements. Ability to successfully complete required background checks and agency onboarding requirements.

Preferred:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or coursework in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Education, Criminal Justice, Child Development, Counseling, or a related field. Previous experience facilitating youth groups, mentoring, providing youth services, or working with youth involved with child welfare or other community-based systems. Experience working with youth affected by trauma, behavioral challenges, family instability, or other barriers. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, positive youth development, and behavior-management strategies. Services may be provided at Stepping Stones facilities, schools, community locations, partner organizations, or other approved settings. The position may require participation in community outings, recreational activities, and other youth-focused programming.
