The Position ASC is recruiting AI / Scientific Software Engineers to develop scalable scientific software, AI/ML systems, model and data pipelines, HPC workflows, and agentic-AI tools. Engineers work closely with scientists to turn research models and methods into robust systems that run at field, regional, and continental scales on supercomputing environments and massive Earth-observation and agricultural datasets. Engineers support ASC's research directions: 1. AI for Scientific Modeling and Discovery 2. Process-Based Modeling and Digital Twins 3. Earth Observation and Geospatial AI 4. Large-Scale Model-Data Fusion and Prediction 5.

Scientific Software, HPC, and Agentic AI:

scalable scientific software, modeling/data pipelines, HPC workflows, AI infrastructure, and emerging agentic systems for large-scale environmental modeling and analysis. Qualifications

• Strong experience in scientific programming, software engineering, or data science.
• Professional-level Python, C/C++, and/or Fortran skills in Linux environments.
• Experience with supercomputing, large-scale data systems, AI/ML infrastructure, or agentic AI is particularly valuable.
• Prior agricultural experience is not required. We welcome applicants from computer science, machine learning, applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, and related quantitative fields. Salary and Benefits $70,000
• 120,000 per year with full benefits, depending on experience.
