IT Strategy Engineer - AI & Digital Transformation Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is advancing its digital transformation journey to improve how work is performed across engineering, research, and business functions.

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to reshape how organizations operate, HATCI is seeking an IT Strategy Engineer to help identify opportunities, develop technology roadmaps, and drive business transformation through digital technologies, automation, and AI.This role is not responsible for developing AI models. Instead, the successful candidate will focus on evaluating emerging technologies, enabling enterprise adoption, transforming business processes, and ensuring alignment with Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) global initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong business and technology acumen, understands the rapidly evolving AI landscape, and is passionate about applying technology to create measurable business value.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Drive Digital Transformation & Business InnovationIdentify opportunities to improve business processes, collaboration, productivity, and operational efficiency through digital technologies, automation, and AICollect, evaluate, and prioritize transformation opportunities across business unitsDevelop technology roadmap aligned with business objectives and enterprise strategyIdentify measurable business outcomes and success metrics for transformation initiativesSupport organizational change management and digital adoption effortsLead AI Adoption & Emerging Technology StrategyMonitor AI, Generative AI, automation, and emerging technology trends relevant to enterprise environmentsEvaluate AI platforms, digital tools, and enterprise solutions to identify practical business applicationsDevelop AI adoption strategies and implementation roadmaps aligned with organizational prioritiesServe as an internal advisor on AI opportunities, risks, limitations, and best practicesPromote responsible and business-focused adoption of AI capabilities across the organizationBridge Business and ITAct as a strategic liaison between business teams, IT, and CybersecurityTranslate business challenges into scalable technology-enabled solutionsFacilitate cross-functional discussions to align stakeholders on priorities, requirements, and execution plansSupport business case development, executive reporting, and strategic planning activitiesAlign with HMG Global InitiativesEnsure local technology initiatives align with Hyundai Motor Group's global Digital Transformation, IT, and AI/AX strategiesPartner with HMG headquarters and global affiliates to identify reusable solutions, best practices, and strategic opportunitiesPromote standardization and reduce duplication of technology investments across regionsHelp drive adoption of global platforms and initiatives where appropriateSupport Governance & Responsible Technology UseSupport governance frameworks for AI and emerging technologiesRecommend balanced approaches that enable innovation while protecting enterprise information assets

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

5+ years of experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, enterprise technology, solution engineering, program management, or related fieldsExperience working across both business and technical organizationsDemonstrated interest, experience, or involvement in AI, automation, or emerging digital technologiesStrong understanding of enterprise IT systems, SaaS platforms, and technology adoption practicesExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skillsAbility to analyze business challenges and translate them into practical technology solutionsCandidates applying for positions with Hyundai Kia must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
