• As the Machine Learning Engineer Technical Fellow on Marketplace Efficiency, your technical leadership will play an integral role in improving how we manage our marketplace.

The team's focus is to balance the concerns of jobseekers, employers, and overall marketplace health through pricing, bidding, ranking, and market design. As the most senior MLE on the team, you will set the bar for quality and rigor in how we manage the tradeoffs in our marketplace through metric definition, experiments, and monitoring. You will partner with Product, Software Engineering, and Data Scientists to design systems, models, and experiments that impact millions of jobseekers and employers. The labor market is also undergoing large-scale changes due to AI and macro shifts, so this role has a unique opportunity to impact how Indeed's marketplace adapts to meet the challenge. You will be able to work from anywhere within the United States for this role.

• Responsibilities
• + Define the marketplace objective and guardrail metrics, and improve the experimentation methodology used to trade off jobseeker, employer, and marketplace-health outcomes.

+ Have a strong point of view on how our machine learning systems could improve, and work with the team to do so

+ Partner with senior leadership to develop and influence long-term marketplace strategy

+ Mentor and support the growth of machine learning engineers and data scientists

+ Contribute hands-on when needed by diving into code or data and sharing best practices across the organization

• Skills/Competencies
