We are looking for an independent contractor with hands-on Vantagepoint expertise to help us build out reporting and any other minor configurations that may be needed. This is not an implementation or system-selection engagement; Vantagepoint is already live, and the scope is intentionally focused rather than a full optimization overhaul. Scope of Work The initial priorities are: Build and configure standard and custom reports and dashboards in Vantagepoint (Info Center, SSRS-based reporting) covering project financials, utilization, and billing status. Refine client- and project-record configurations, including invoice templates, billing formats, and related project/client setup fields, building on work already done during our initial rollout. Review current report and configuration setups for gaps or inefficiencies and recommend fixes within the existing implementation (not a re-implementation). Provide brief guidance or training to our internal finance staff on any reports or configurations you build, as needed. Required Qualifications Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and building reports in Deltek Vantagepoint (or Deltek Vision), ideally including Info Center and SSRS-based report development. Experience with Vantagepoint project accounting, billing, and invoicing configuration. Comfortable working independently against a defined scope with minimal day-to-day oversight. Strong written communication; able to explain configuration choices in plain terms to a non-technical finance team. Available to work US business hours (Central Time) for periodic check-ins, even though the role itself is remote and asynchronous by design. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with a professional services or A&E (architecture/engineering) firm on Vantagepoint Familiarity with SQL and Vantagepoint's underlying data structures for custom report-building beyond out-of-the-box options. Experience training internal staff or handing off self-service reporting capability, rather than staying the sole owner of every report.
