We are looking for an experienced Looker / Look ML Expert to join a contract engagement. In this role, you will convert established reporting assets into scalable Looker solutions, helping the organization modernize how business insights are modeled and delivered. This opportunity is best suited for a self-directed BI specialist who can rapidly assess a reporting environment, produce high-quality deliverables, and equip internal teams with practical knowledge for ongoing success.
Responsibilities:
Rebuild legacy reporting assets in Looker by translating existing logic into reliable, user-friendly dashboards and data experiences.
Create and refine LookML structures, including explores, dimensions, measures, and joins, to support scalable analytics and consistent reporting outcomes.
Interpret complex SQL-based reporting rules and transform them into well-organized semantic models aligned with business needs.
Partner with stakeholders to understand source data within a Google Cloud environment and apply that understanding to effective BI design.
Evaluate current reports to identify ways to strengthen performance, improve usability, and support future growth within Looker.
Test and reconcile migrated reporting outputs to confirm alignment with prior results and maintain confidence in data accuracy.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to Looker, LookML, SQL queries, and underlying data models in a timely manner.
Lead practical knowledge-sharing sessions that help business users and technical team members become more confident using Looker and LookML.
Produce clear documentation, standards, and development guidance to support long-term maintenance and enhancement of the reporting environment.
