The Opportunity:
The Director of Enterprise Applications and Digital Transformation is responsible for the strategy, governance, optimization, and continuous improvement of MeriCal's enterprise application ecosystem. This role will provide leadership for business-critical applications supporting manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, customer operations, and business intelligence. The Director will manage a team of Solution Architects while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership and cross-functional business teams. The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership, enterprise application expertise, and manufacturing business acumen with a demonstrated ability to lead ERP modernization efforts and technology transformation initiatives. This leader will help shape MeriCal's future-state technology roadmap while identifying innovative solutions that complement and extend existing business systems.
What You'll Do:
Enterprise Applications Leadership Develop and execute the enterprise applications strategy aligned with business objectives and growth initiatives. Lead application governance, lifecycle management, architecture standards, and technology roadmaps. Ensure enterprise applications are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs. Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders across Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, and Commercial functions. Digital Transformation & ERP Modernization Lead application modernization and technology transformation initiative. Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, system integration, and improved user experiences. Support ERP enhancement, migration, implementation, and modernization initiatives. Evaluate emerging technologies and adjacent solutions that complement existing enterprise platforms and create measurable business value. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, data visibility, and business scalability. Manufacturing & Supply Chain Systems Provide strategic oversight of technologies supporting: Manufacturing Operations Production Planning & Scheduling Supply Chain Management Inventory Management Maintenance & Asset Management Customer Relationship Management Financial Operations Reporting & Analytics Current platforms include: Sage 500 ERP Microsoft Dynamics CRM Microsoft Power BI PlanetTogether Shoplogix MaintainX Leadership & Talent Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Solution Architects. Establish career development plans and succession strategies. Foster a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer service. Build organizational capabilities through coaching, knowledge sharing, and leadership development. Support recruitment and retention of top technology talent. Project & Portfolio Management Establish project governance and delivery standards. Prioritize technology investments based on business objectives and return on investement. Manage implementation partners, consultants, and software vendors. Ensure initiatives are delivered within scope, timeline, and budget expectations. Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership. Data & Business Intelligence Champion a data-driven culture across the organization. Advance reporting and analytics capabilities utilizing Power BI and related technologies. Improve data governance, reporting consistency, and KPI visibility. Enable business leaders to make informed decisions through meaningful dashboards and performance metrics.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. 10+ years of progressive experience managing enterprise applications, business systems, or technology platforms. 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams. Demonstrated success coaching, mentoring, and developing technology professionals. Proven experience leading ERP implementation, migration, or modernization initiatives. Significant experience supporting enterprise applications within a manufacturing environment. Experience managing enterprise application portfolios and cross-functional technology initiatives. Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills. Preferred Technical Experience Experience with one or more of the following technologies is preferred: Sage 500 ERP or comparable ERP Platforms Microsoft Dynamics CRM Microsoft Power BI PlantTogether Shoplogix MaintainX Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Supply Chain Planning Systems Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Data Warehousing & Analytics Systems Integrations & API Platforms Cloud-Based Enterprise Applications Leadership Competencies The successful candidate will demonstrate: Strategic and business-minded thinking Strong people leadership and talent development skills Executive presence and influence Change leadership and organizational agility Continuous improvement mindset Problem-solving and decision-making excellence Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to balance innovation with operational discipline

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $180,000 to $190,000. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
