Job Description

Summer GN&C engineering intern responsible for developing spacecraft simulations, analyzing attitude dynamics and control algorithms, managing system requirements and verification techniques, and supporting GN&C test plans. The intern will contribute to research and development tasks and gain hands-on exposure to spacecraft launches, hardware testing, and mission operations. Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a talented and enthusiastic GN&C Engineer Intern to join our BCT Summer in Space Internship program. Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. In addition, applicants must be enrolled fall semester 2027. This will be a full-time position for the summer for 11 weeks, starting May 25 2027.

Job Responsibilities:
Take ownership of specific Internal Research and Development (IRAD) tasks focused on advancing GN&C capabilities and technologies. With limited oversight from a mentor: Develop simulations and perform analysis across GN&C subsystem functions, including attitude dynamics, control algorithms, and sensor/actuator performance. With limited oversight from a mentor: Develop and manage system requirements and verification techniques. Lead or significantly contribute to the development and execution of GN&C test methods and plans for new developments. Engage in hands-on opportunities including spacecraft launches, hardware testing campaigns, mission operations, and other exciting program milestones. Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Master's degree or higher from an accredited university in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent technical discipline. Strong ability to work in teams and collaborate with peers and internal customers Strong analytical skills - comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data Ability to learn new processes quickly and effectively multi-task Effective communication skills; comfortable working in a team environment; high energy and desire to learn. Demonstrated leadership experience through school or extracurricular projects

Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
