Up to $2,000 in accommodations may be available for qualified candidates who have a commute greater than 45 minutes The Role Go Green is building a new internal Operations Hub to support our manufacturing and warehouse operations. We are assembling a small Functional Systems Lead team for an intensive four-week implementation period in November. This is not a traditional software development role. Before the team begins, our Senior Systems Engineer will have designed the UI, architecture, integrations, and requirements and built the initial V1 application. As the Functional Systems Lead for Turf Roll Production , you will own the real-world implementation and validation of the production portion of that system. You will work directly alongside production employees and supervisors, learn how turf roll jobs actually move through the operation, test the software during real workflows, identify edge cases and undocumented tribal knowledge, and help us determine what needs to change before the system is considered successful. Each afternoon, the Functional Systems Lead team will meet with the Senior Systems Engineer to review findings. Software changes will then be developed for the team to validate during subsequent real-world testing. What You'll Do Become deeply familiar with the turf roll production workflow. Work alongside supervisors and employees using the new system. Observe both documented processes and what actually happens on the production floor. Test new workflows in real operating conditions. Identify bugs, confusing UX, missing scenarios, edge cases, and undocumented business rules. Ask thoughtful questions to understand why employees perform work the way they do. Distinguish between software problems, training problems, process problems, and potential new features. Clearly document findings and reproduce problems where possible. Participate in a daily Systems team debrief. Validate changes as new iterations of the software are released. Take ownership of making sure the Turf Roll Production portion of the system works for the people who actually use it. What We're Looking For We care as much about how you think and interact with people as we do about your technical background.
Strong candidates will be:
Honest, humble, and comfortable admitting when they do not know something. Teachable and willing to work within an already-defined system. Critical thinkers who notice inconsistencies and edge cases. Approachable people who communicate well with non-technical employees. Good listeners who know how to ask follow-up questions. Curious about how real operational processes work. Organized and capable of turning messy conversations into clear findings. Comfortable with technology and learning unfamiliar software quickly. Technical Background Some experience with software development, QA, automation, systems implementation or ERP systems is strongly preferred. Experience using both traditional programming methods and modern AI-assisted development tools is especially valuable. You will not be expected to architect the system or spend the month writing application code. Your primary responsibility is making sure the system works correctly in the real operation. Especially Valuable Experience Previous experience in any of the following would be particularly helpful: Manufacturing Production operations ERP/MES systems Warehouse operations Textile or flooring manufacturing Machine operation Production planning Quality control Software implementation or QA Previous non-technical work experience is considered an asset, not a detour from your career. As someone who will be intimately familiar with Go Green's manufacturing processes and methods, you will be required to sign an agreement that you will not work at a similar turf manufacturing facility for 2 years.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you organized and capable of turning messy conversations into clear findings? Are you a good listener who knows how to ask follow-up questions? Are you teachable and willing to work within an already-defined system? Are you a critical thinker who notices inconsistencies and edge cases? Are you friendly, approachable and communicate well with non-technical employees? Are you honest, humble, and comfortable admitting when you don't know something? Please note that this role is a 4-week contract with no extension, starting in November. Would you like to proceed?
