- Finance Digital Enablement exists to reimagine how Finance operates by combining process excellence, digital technologies, AI, automation, and data to build a simpler, smarter, and more scalable Finance organization.
Working in close partnership with Finance, IT, and business leaders, we drive the strategy, governance, and transformation of Finance's core business processes and technology capabilities. We identify opportunities to modernize how Finance works, accelerate the responsible adoption of AI and intelligent automation, and ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value. Our Global Process Owners serve as strategic leaders responsible for defining the future of Finance. By combining deep functional expertise with digital innovation, they shape operating models, business capabilities, and transformation roadmaps that enable Finance to continuously evolve and support UKG's long-term growth.
- About the
Role:
- The Director, Global Process Owner - Record-to-Report is a strategic leader within Finance Digital Enablement responsible for defining the future of UKG's global Record-to-Report capabilities.
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance Digital Enablement, this role partners closely with the Chief Accounting Officer organization to modernize accounting through process innovation, AI, automation, and digital technologies. The Director will define the future-state operating model, establish enterprise process standards, and lead a transformation roadmap that enables Finance to operate with greater efficiency, scalability, control, and business agility. This role serves as the strategic owner of the Record-to-Report process landscape, partnering with Finance, IT, AI and Automation teams, and external technology partners to ensure business processes and enabling technologies evolve together to support UKG's future growth.
- What You'll Do:
- Define the Future of Record-to-Report + Develop and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for UKG's global Record-to-Report processes.
+ Define future-state business capabilities, operating models, governance structures, and enterprise process standards.
+ Establish key performance indicators and success measures that drive operational excellence and business value.
+ Ensure Record-to-Report processes evolve to meet changing business, regulatory, and technology requirements. Lead Finance Transformation
+ Serve as the transformation leader for Record-to-Report, driving initiatives that simplify processes and modernize ways of working.
+ Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, compliance, and employee experience through technology-enabled transformation.
+ Lead strategic initiatives that accelerate financial close processes, improve productivity, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting capabilities.
+ Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence across the end-to-end accounting value chain. Drive AI, Automation, and Digital Innovation
+ Partner with Finance, IT, and AI & Automation teams to identify opportunities for AI, intelligent automation, machine learning, workflow optimization, and process redesign.
+ Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to modernize accounting operations and decision-making.
+ Develop business cases and transformation strategies that leverage digital capabilities to improve efficiency, compliance, and business outcomes.
+ Promote responsible adoption of AI and automation while maintaining governance and control requirements. Own the Record-to-Report Roadmap
+ Develop and manage a multi-year transformation roadmap aligned with Finance strategy and enterprise priorities.
+ Translate strategic objectives into prioritized business capabilities, investments, and transformation initiatives.
+ Partner with IT Product Owners and technology teams to ensure platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, BlackLine, Workiva, AI-enabled solutions, and future technologies continue to support evolving business needs.
+ Align technology investments with measurable business outcomes and long-term Finance objectives. Lead Portfolio Governance and Value Realization
+ Manage the Record-to-Report transformation portfolio from concept through implementation and value realization.
+ Establish governance frameworks, investment prioritization processes, business cases, and performance reporting.
+ Measure transformation outcomes and ensure initiatives deliver sustainable operational, financial, and compliance benefits.
+ Monitor roadmap execution, adoption, and business impact to drive continuous improvement. Build Strategic Partnerships
+ Develop trusted partnerships across Accounting, Finance, IT, Internal Audit, AI & Automation, and executive leadership teams.
+ Serve as a strategic advisor on the future of accounting processes, AI adoption, automation, and digital transformation.
+ Influence senior stakeholders and foster alignment across multiple functions and priorities.
+ Collaborate with strategic vendors and technology partners to advance Finance modernization objectives. Develop Organizational Capability
+ Lead and develop a team of process and transformation professionals.
+ Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
+ Build organizational capability in process design, transformation leadership, AI adoption, automation, and digital enablement.
+ Coach leaders and teams through complex change initiatives and new ways of working.
- What Success Looks Like:
- Within the first 12-18 months, success in this role will include: + Establishing the Global Process Owner operating model, governance structure, and partnership model across Finance, IT, and Finance Digital Enablement.
+ Developing and socializing a multi-year Record-to-Report strategy and transformation roadmap.
+ Building and prioritizing a portfolio of initiatives focused on accelerating financial close, improving productivity, strengthening controls, and enhancing employee experience.
+ Delivering early AI and automation initiatives that demonstrate measurable business value.
+ Establishing performance measures covering process health, roadmap execution, AI adoption, operational effectiveness, and value realization.
+ Building trusted relationships across Accounting, Finance, IT, Internal Audit, and strategic partners.
+ Creating a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and digital-first thinking.
- Required Qualifications:
- + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Accounting, Finance Transformation, Enterprise Process Management, Digital Enablement, or related disciplines.
+ Deep expertise in Record-to-Report processes, accounting operations, financial reporting, close management, and internal controls.
+ Proven success leading large-scale business process transformation and technology modernization initiatives within complex global organizations.
+ Experience developing business roadmaps and transformation strategies involving ERP, financial close, reporting, and governance technologies.
+ Strong understanding of AI, automation, and emerging digital technologies and their application within Finance operations.
+ Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive alignment across Finance, IT, and business organizations.
+ Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, relationship management, and change leadership capabilities.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + CPA, MBA, or other advanced degree. + Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, BlackLine, Workiva, or comparable Finance technology platforms. + Experience leading AI-enabled Finance transformation initiatives. + Experience working within the technology industry, preferably in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment. + Experience operating in highly matrixed, global organizations.

The pay range for this position is $145,600 to $209,300. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
