9/80 schedule option available About the Role A well-established aerospace manufacturer with a highly specialized machining operation is seeking a Senior NC Programmer to join their Manufacturing Engineering team. This is a hands-on programming role for someone who wants to own aerospace parts from print to finished component — not just run someone else's program. You'll be part of a team supporting a specialized machine shop running a mix of gear-cutting, multi-axis milling, and turning equipment on Siemens-based controls. Reporting to the NC Programming Manager, you'll split your time between detailed program development at your desk and hands-on problem-solving on the shop floor. What You'll Do Determine the operations required to produce aerospace parts on numerically controlled machines, and prepare detailed N/C program outlines Establish tooling and gauging requirements for production parts Prepare detailed operation sheets, including estimates for setup and run hours, and design/build hours for tooling — on parts with a high percentage of N/C work, you may own the entire operation sheet independently Spend time in the N/C machining centers solving real-time problems and improving processes on the parts you're responsible for Coordinate across departments — Group Leaders, Methods Engineers, Product/Design Engineers, Quality Assurance, Metallurgists, and Inspectors — to resolve complex issues Provide technical guidance to your group, including input on selection, placement, and performance evaluations Support the Machine Shop and Assembly & Test areas by coordinating Manufacturing Engineering activities Participate in developing new processes and manufacturing methods focused on standardization and cost reduction Manage multiple concurrent tasks and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment What You'll Need Minimum 7 years of NC Programming experience on multi-axis CNC machines Demonstrated experience programming and troubleshooting complex machining processes on multi-axial/multi-function CNC equipment High school diploma or GED (or equivalent demonstrated ability to follow verbal, written, and computer-based work instructions in English, plus basic math proficiency) Strong interpersonal skills — this role requires working closely with a wide range of technical and quality personnel Nice to Have Bachelor's degree in engineering Aerospace industry experience Knowledge of automation systems What's On Offer Competitive compensation package with bonus opportunities 401(k) match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations) Flexible PTO, holidays, and parental leave program; relocation assistance available Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, plus Employee Assistance Plan Tuition assistance, mentorship, and leadership development programs Established, respectful team culture with active
