About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Metrology Specialist to lead our inspection programming and quality verification processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring manufacturing precision by developing advanced inspection routines, designing custom fixtures, and maintaining high-accuracy measurement systems to support our production lifecycle. Responsibilities Design and execute automated CMM inspection programs to validate first-article, in-process, and final production components. Engineer custom work-holding fixtures and inspection tooling to optimize measurement accuracy and throughput. Perform comprehensive Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies to minimize measurement risk and bias. Maintain and calibrate advanced metrology equipment, including CMMs, Vision Systems, and Contracers, to ensure traceability. Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to establish robust inspection criteria based on GD&T standards. Provide technical leadership by training operators on inspection equipment and supporting root cause investigations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated data collection into manufacturing inspection plans. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with advanced metrology and CMM programming. Proficiency in programming software such as Calypso or PC-DMIS. Deep understanding of
ASME Y14.5 GD&T
standards and 3D modeling/drafting principles. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical specifications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration. Preferred Skills Experience in highly regulated industries such as Aerospace, Medical Device, or Defense. Knowledge of GMP and ISO quality management standards. Technical familiarity with 3D metrology, CT scanning, or White Light systems. Associate's degree in a manufacturing or engineering-related discipline. Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
