6 Month Contract to Hire Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Mail Programmer to support data preparation, file processing, mail merge operations, and production workflow automation. This role plays a critical part in preparing customer data and print files for high-volume mail production. The ideal candidate will combine data processing expertise with experience supporting variable data printing and mailing workflows. Key Responsibilities

Receive and prepare customer files for production

Perform mail merges and variable data processing

Cleanse and validate mailing address data

Utilize NCOA and postal compliance tools

customer-supplied files into production-ready formats

Support workflow automation initiatives

Troubleshoot file and data-related production issues

Collaborate with print and production teams to ensure job accuracy

Required Qualifications

Experience in mail programming, print programming, variable data processing, or document composition

Strong understanding of:

Data cleansing

Mail merge processes

Address validation

Production file preparation

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience working with large data sets

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

PlanetPress

OL Connect

Quadient Inspire

Variable data printing software

Knowledge of USPS mailing requirements

Experience utilizing NCOA software

Exposure to workflow automation

Nice-to-Have Skills

Python or other scripting/programming experience

Database experience
