You will serve as a Scientist in the Network and Digital System Division, Digital Engineering Department of
NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.
Qualifications:
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Physicist applying the results of scientific or engineering research to improve existing products, procedures, or services or to lead to the development of new products, procedures, or services; performing professional and scientific work in the investigation and application of the relations between space, time, matter, and energy in the areas of mechanics, sound, optics, heat, electricity, magnetism, radiation, and atomic or nuclear phenomena; and applying quantitative and qualitative methods, measurement, fact finding, and investigative techniques to provide managers with objectively based information for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of agency assignments.
