Senior IS Technician Medical Recruitment Strategies - 2.9 El Cerrito, CA Job Details Contract $23 - $26 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Quality assurance Computer hardware Driving IT Full Job Description Overview We are seeking an IT Hardware Technician to install, repair, configure, and maintain computer and printer hardware at multiple retail store locations. The technician will also refurbish returned equipment, perform quality assurance checks, track IT assets, process warranty claims, and maintain accurate inventory records.
This is a field-based position that requires daily travel between store locations using reliable personal transportation. Some trips may involve several hours of driving. The technician will receive daily direction and support from a permanent field technical services employee. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer and printer hardware. Stage and configure IT equipment for store deployment. Perform bench repairs and test hardware functionality. Refurbish returned IT equipment and conduct quality assurance checks. Track IT assets using designated software systems. Process applicable hardware warranty claims. Maintain accurate inventory records and document equipment movements. Complete service paperwork and maintain detailed repair records. Travel between multiple retail locations and provide excellent customer service. Experience Previous hands-on IT hardware repair experience. Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs with assistance. Willingness to travel between store locations daily. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays when required. Successful background screening, including a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. Two-year technical education or equivalent technical experience. #
