Duties Provide technical support to staff by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively. Manage help desk systems by logging, tracking, and resolving support tickets with accuracy and professionalism. Assist users with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring optimal performance and security. Support computer networking tasks including LAN (Local Area Network), TCP/IP protocols, DNS (Domain Name System), VPN (Virtual Private Network), and firewall configurations. Perform hardware support tasks such as diagnosing equipment troubleshooting problems, replacing components, and maintaining computer hardware. Manage Active Directory accounts for user access control and permissions management. Collaborate with team members to analyze issues related to IT infrastructure, including servers like Microsoft Windows Server and Linux-based systems. Support mobile devices and peripherals to ensure connectivity and functionality across all platforms. Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Communicate clearly with end-users to provide technical troubleshooting support while delivering excellent customer service. Qualifications Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and help desk systems for efficient ticket management. Solid knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments. Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and TCP protocols. Experience supporting Active Directory management for user account administration. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues related to hardware components like desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Analysis skills to diagnose complex problems quickly and accurately while providing effective solutions. Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including servers (Windows Server), network devices, and security protocols is preferred.
