About the Role The Technical Solutions Specialist I is the front line of the Code Blue support experience. You will help clients solve everyday technology issues quickly, clearly, and professionally while building the technical foundation to grow within our team. You will troubleshoot a broad range of issues involving computers, user environments, peripherals, cameras, networks, TVs, AV equipment, and other technology used at client locations. You will be expected to investigate problems thoroughly, communicate what is happening in plain language, document your work clearly, and know when to bring in a Tier II technician. This is an excellent role for someone with early technical support experience who is curious, dependable, calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys helping people. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you must be willing to learn, take feedback well, and follow through. What You'll Do Serve as a first point of contact for client technical support requests by phone, email, and ticketing system Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues involving Windows PCs, user accounts, Microsoft 365/Office, printers, peripherals, internet connectivity, cameras, TVs, AV equipment, and other supported devices Gather the right information before troubleshooting, including clear symptoms, affected equipment, site details, error messages, and what has already been attempted Follow established troubleshooting processes, use internal documentation, and conduct thoughtful research before escalating an issue Communicate professionally with clients, provide clear status updates, and set realistic next steps Escalate complex or time-sensitive issues to Tier II with complete notes, relevant screenshots or photos, troubleshooting steps already taken, and a clear description of the remaining issue Assist with device setup, configuration, software installation, account support, and routine maintenance tasks Support field technicians and vendors by gathering site information, confirming client availability, and updating tickets as directed Maintain accurate ticket notes, time entries, client communications, and resolution documentation Identify repeat issues or gaps in documentation and bring them to the team's attention Participate in training, team meetings, and ongoing skill development What We're Looking For 1+ year of customer service experience required 1+ year of helpdesk, desktop support, technical support, retail technology, field service, or comparable hands-on technical experience preferred Basic working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365/Office, PCs, printers, peripherals, and user account troubleshooting Basic understanding of networking concepts such as Wi-Fi, routers, IP addresses, and internet connectivity Familiarity with cameras, NVR/DVR systems, TVs, AV equipment, or low-voltage devices is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues in simple, respectful language Good judgment about when to continue troubleshooting and when to escalate Strong organizational habits, attention to detail, and willingness to document work properly A dependable, positive, team-oriented approach Curiosity, accountability, and a genuine desire to build a career in technology Preferred Qualifications Experience working with a ticketing or PSA system such as Autotask, ConnectWise, Zendesk, ServiceNow, or similar CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, Microsoft Fundamentals, or comparable certification Experience supporting multiple locations, retail environments, gyms, restaurants, hospitality, or other client-facing businesses Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent relevant experience Work Schedule Monday through Friday, onsite in Enfield, CT Rotating weekend shift, paid as overtime Occasional overtime for outages, urgent support needs, and dispatch coverage Why Join Code Blue?
