We are looking for a qualified Computer Bench Technician to diagnose, maintain and repair computers, Laptops, and networking equipment. You will be the one to work with customers and end users in diagnosing and repairing their computer systems and helping with their technology issues. As a computer technician you must be well-versed in computer systems and network functions. The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality. The job as a Computer Support Technician is the perfect opportunity for an energetic, inquisitive, eager person who is looking to expand his/her IT skills. Applicant Must live in the Naples or Marco Island area. Responsibilities Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers Repair technological equipment (e.g. computers,Laptops) or peripheral devices Diagnose and repair issues with programs,software,and computer configuration Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality Take phones calls from customers Remotely repair and configure computers and software for customers Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly Skills Proven experience as computer technician or similar role Self-directed and able to work independently Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to explain technology in an easily understood manner Friendly and courteous at all times Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles Office 365: Word, Excel & Outlook Outlook and Gmail email configurations PC imaging and configuration Exceptional organizing and time-management skills Spyware / Adware removal tools & Antivirus programs Tech must be comfortable with all facets of PC & Laptop hardware, setup and maintenance including installation and configuration of hard drives, peripherals, Printers, and other PC accessories Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+) will be an advantage
