Job Description

IT Support Specialist Location:
Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
Company:
Spartan Law Compensation:
$50,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience
Schedule:
Full-time, on-site Monday-Friday during core business hours. About the Role Spartan Law is seeking a hands-on Local IT Support Specialist to serve as the on-site technology resource for our attorneys and staff. This role is critical to keeping our team productive: every workstation, phone, printer, and conference room needs to work reliably so our staff can focus on serving clients. The right person is part technician, part problem-solver, and part customer service professional. You will own day-to-day end-user support, new-hire onboarding, hardware lifecycle planning, and coordination with outside vendors. As we plan upcoming workstation refreshes and migrations off legacy hardware, you will play a key role in standardizing our technology footprint and improving reliability across the firm. Key Responsibilities End-User Support Provide on-site and remote technical support to staff across PC hardware, software, phones, printers, scanners, docking stations, monitors, and Bluetooth peripherals (keyboards, mice, headsets). Track, prioritize, and resolve user technology issues, escalating to vendors or managed services partners when appropriate. Support internal teams with technology needs for trials, depositions, client meetings, including pre-meeting setup and on-call availability where needed. New Hire Onboarding & Workstation Setup Build, image, and deploy computers for new hires, ensuring each workstation is delivered with a consistent, fully configured software and hardware setup. Coordinate office moves, workstation refreshes, and seat reassignments. Establish and maintain firmwide standards for desktop hardware, peripherals, and software builds to reduce one-off configurations and recurring support issues. Systems & Application Administration Support case management, document management, and other legal applications through user administration, configuration, and outage resolution. Administer user accounts, group memberships, permissions, and security protocols across firm platforms. Administer Dialpad, including: user provisioning and access, device configuration, and call flow / call center / call group setup. Maintain Microsoft 365 user accounts, licensing, and basic Exchange / Teams / SharePoint configurations. Infrastructure, Network & AV Troubleshoot network, internet, and VoIP/phone system issues; coordinate with ISPs and carriers when outages occur. Maintain and manage local routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and related on-site network equipment. Set up and maintain conference room AV technology, including displays, video conferencing systems, presentation equipment, and digital display boards. Inventory & Vendor Management Maintain accurate inventory of all in-use and in-storage hardware, including assignment records and warranty status. Plan and execute end-of-life equipment refresh cycles, including the upcoming migration of legacy workstations. Coordinate with vendors and managed services providers for IT services, upgrades, repairs, and warranty claims. Partner with the Office Manager to forecast needs and order new equipment in a timely manner. Security & Compliance Support data security, backup integrity, patching, and compliance with firm policies and applicable legal industry standards. Maintain confidentiality and discretion consistent with the expectations of a law firm environment. Document standard operating procedures, configurations, and recurring fixes so knowledge is retained and shared. Skills & Qualifications Required 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a professional office environment. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users. Demonstrated experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint). Experience configuring and deploying desktop and laptop hardware, peripherals, and docking stations. Familiarity with VoIP phone systems, scanners, and printer/MFP administration. Ability to work fully on-site Monday-Friday and respond quickly to urgent issues. Understanding of confidentiality and data security expectations in a legal or other regulated setting. Preferred Prior IT support experience in a law firm or other professional services environment. Hands-on experience with Dialpad administration (or comparable cloud VoIP platform). Familiarity with legal-industry software such as case management and document management systems. Experience supporting trial technology, depositions, or courtroom presentation tools. Relevant industry certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals. What We're Looking For This role is the on-the-ground IT presence at Spartan Law. The right candidate balances technical competence with strong service instincts and is comfortable owning issues end-to-end. Operates with a hands-on, "figure it out" mindset and a bias toward fixing root causes, not just symptoms. Communicates clearly and patiently with users at every technical level, from senior partners to newly onboarded staff. Maintains organized inventory, documentation, and configuration standards. Understands the urgency that comes with supporting legal work, particularly during trials, filings, and deposition preparation. Takes initiative to identify recurring issues and propose long-term improvements rather than repeated short-term fixes. How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief note describing your hands-on IT support experience, any law firm or professional services background, and the certifications you currently hold. References should be available on request.
