Job Description

Job Goal:
Support the educational needs of the district by prioritizing and coordinating repairs, technical support, and maintenance of district technology hardware and software.
Qualifications:
Physical Examination as required by the district. Practical knowledge of current computer platforms and operating systems Practical knowledge of LAN and WAN design and management in order to implement efficient bandwidth usage and reliability Understanding of network security systems Degree or equivalent training in computer hardware repair Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with other staff Knowledge of Google Apps for Education Strong written and oral language skills Ability to work well with others Blood borne pathogens certificate on file Child abuse certificate on file Experience integrating technology into classroom learning in meaningful ways.
Reports to:
Director of Technology Performance and Responsibilities:
Provide hardware and software support to all users. Maintain a record of current inventory and repair history. Perform routine maintenance of all district technology equipment. Troubleshoot networking issues on wired and wireless networks. Assist technology director with the creation and editing of policies to manage network. Perform evaluation and installation of new software as needed in coordination with Technology Director Coordinate the assembly and distribution of new equipment. Maintain network security and protection systems Coordinate with vendors to facilitate repairs of equipment Foster positive relationships with staff and patrons. Complete necessary documentation to recover costs related to repairs through Specialty Underwriters Assist the technology director with planning of hardware, software and purchased services as requested. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Wages and work year to be determined by the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
EVALUATIONS
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director of Technology.
