Perform on-site technical work to install and maintain computer equipment and software applications throughout the district. Respond to help desk requests by diagnosing and repairing computer hardware. Distributing new equipment added to the district.
Experience:
2 years of work experience in technical support setting preferred
Experience in an Educational setting preferred
Skill Requirements:
Ability to install, maintain and repair computers and peripherals, including printers, projectors, and scanners.
Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware.
Ability to diagnose and resolve computer hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Ability to travel as required.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Installation
Install and upgrade computers and peripherals throughout the district.
Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.
Install and configure software as needed. Equipment Repair and Maintenance
Diagnose and repair equipment, including printers, workstations (Windows 10, Chromebooks and iOS devices) and other peripherals.
Service equipment according to established preventive maintenance schedule.
Maintain accurate updated records of preventive maintenance.
Maintain accurate inventory of devices Technical Support
Analyze and resolve technology issues using logic and creativity, following established procedure, and exhibiting a commitment to seeing the problem through to resolution.
Process technology requests using help desk software and ensure issues are resolved or escalated in a timely manner.
Respond to questions and resolve problems for users in person, via telephone, and/or remote access;
Work cooperatively with end-users and team members to detect and resolve hardware/software problems.
Communicate with District IT personnel and software/hardware vendors to resolve end-user problems.
Be customer service oriented and maintain a professional approach regarding all district matters.
Be adaptable and flexible in acceptance of changes in techniques and procedures.
Remain knowledgeable of emerging trends in technology and keep abreast of technology shifts
Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Technology or designee.
Travel to campus locations for onsite support as required.
