Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Backfill IT Support Specialist with 2 years of hands-on experience in providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset to deliver high-quality IT assistance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues to internal users. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and peripheral devices. Diagnose and resolve system and application issues in a timely manner. Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security groups in Active Directory and related systems. Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring system availability and reliability. Assist in setting up and maintaining IT infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls. Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation of systems, licenses, and configurations. Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software procurement and support. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and assist in data protection initiatives.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or technical support roles. Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments. Hands-on experience with Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts. Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow). Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection best practices. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Workspace). ITIL certification or equivalent is a plus.
