Job Description
ob Overview We are looking for reliable POS Field Service Technicians to support onsite POS terminal installation, replacement, troubleshooting, and break-fix services at retail locations. The technician will work independently onsite, follow the provided work order and remote instructions, complete the required technical tasks, test the equipment, and submit proper completion documentation. Key Responsibilities Install, replace, and troubleshoot POS terminals and related equipment. Disconnect and reconnect power, Ethernet/network, and peripheral cables. Perform basic hardware and connectivity troubleshooting. Verify communication between the POS terminal and network/system. Test the terminal and connected peripherals after installation. Follow remote support instructions and escalate issues when required. Take before/after photos when requested. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Complete work-order notes and obtain required site sign-off. Handle removed equipment according to client instructions. Required Skills Experience with POS systems, payment terminals, retail technology, or field service . Basic understanding of Ethernet/network connectivity. Ability to identify and reconnect cables correctly. Basic hardware troubleshooting skills. Comfortable working independently at customer locations. Good communication and professional customer-service skills. Ability to follow technical instructions accurately. Preferred Experience Verifone or other payment terminal experience. Retail/POS installation experience. Break-fix or field service experience. Basic networking knowledge. Required Tools Technicians should have standard field-service tools appropriate for POS work, including: Basic hand tools/screwdrivers Network/Ethernet cable as required Smartphone for communication and photos Laptop/hotspot when specifically required by the work order Any client-specific tools listed in the dispatch
