Our client is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for faculty, staff, and students in a fast-paced higher education environment. This role will focus on delivering excellent customer service while troubleshooting hardware, software, and end-user technology issues across both Windows and Mac platforms. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working directly with users, can remain calm under pressure, and has strong problem-solving skills. While technical knowledge is important, the team places a high value on customer service, communication, and the ability to build trust with end users.

Responsibilities:

Provide Tier 1-1.5 technical support for faculty and staff members. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues across Windows and Mac environments. Support faculty, staff, and students with technology-related requests and provide excellent customer service. Assist with software installations, printer setup, device troubleshooting, and general desktop support. Provide onsite support by visiting classrooms, offices, and campus locations to resolve technical issues. Assist with classroom technology needs and time-sensitive issues impacting instruction. Document and track support requests through ticketing systems. Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues.

Required Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a related technical role. Experience supporting both Windows and Mac operating systems. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Comfortable working fully onsite in a customer-facing support environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting higher education, healthcare, or other service-oriented environments. Experience supporting classroom technology or audiovisual systems. Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT support processes.
