Schreiber Law, LLC is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our Information Technology team. This is a junior-level, Tier 1 support position responsible for providing day-to-day onsite technical support for approximately 70 employees in a professional legal environment. The IT Support Technician serves as the primary point of contact for routine end-user technology requests, including workstation deployment, user account administration, password resets, equipment support, and basic troubleshooting. The position follows established procedures and works closely with the IT Manager, Systems Administrator & DevOps Liaison, and FACS Developer & IT Support to ensure employees receive timely and professional technical assistance. This position is intended to remain focused on Tier 1 IT support responsibilities . More advanced systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, application development, automation, and enterprise engineering responsibilities are performed by senior technical staff. Individuals who enjoy helping others, following established processes, maintaining organized IT operations, and supporting end users in a professional environment will be well suited for this role. Primary Responsibilities End User Support Serve as the primary point of contact for employee technology support requests. Troubleshoot routine Windows workstation, Microsoft 365, printer, monitor, peripheral, and basic connectivity issues. Assist employees with firm-approved software, equipment, and technology questions. Resolve routine issues using established procedures and documentation. Escalate technical issues outside the position's defined responsibilities. Computer Deployment & Equipment Management Prepare and deploy desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals. Configure computers using established deployment procedures. Perform workstation replacements and office moves. Retrieve equipment during employee departures. Maintain accurate IT asset inventory records. Prepare equipment for reuse or retirement. User Account Administration Create, modify, disable, and unlock user accounts following approved procedures. Perform routine Active Directory user administration. Assist with Microsoft 365 user administration within assigned permissions. Complete technology onboarding and offboarding checklists. Verify appropriate authorization before making access changes. Escalate requests requiring elevated administrative permissions. Basic FACS Administration Create new FACS users. Unlock FACS user accounts. Assist with basic user access issues. Escalate application, reporting, database, or development issues to the FACS Developer & IT Support. Routine IT Operations Complete recurring IT operational checklists. Perform routine maintenance and administrative tasks assigned by the IT Manager. Maintain IT documentation. Assist with equipment inventory. Support routine office technology projects. Security Responsibilities Follow all firm IT security policies and procedures. Properly secure IT equipment during deployment and storage. Follow established password, authentication, and access control procedures. Report suspected security incidents immediately. Never bypass established security controls or approval processes. Qualifications Required 1-2 years of IT support experience, technical training, or equivalent education. Strong customer service and communication skills. Experience supporting Windows 10/11. Basic understanding of Microsoft 365. Basic understanding of Active Directory. Ability to troubleshoot common hardware and software issues. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and move computer equipment. Valid driver's license. Preferred Associate degree in Information Technology or related field. CompTIA A+ certification. Experience imaging and deploying Windows computers. Experience creating and managing Active Directory user accounts. Experience supporting Microsoft 365 users. Success is measured by providing timely end-user support, accurately completing routine administrative tasks, maintaining technology assets, and knowing when to appropriately escalate issues to senior IT staff.
