JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite IT support through a walk-up Tech Bar in Middletown, NJ. This role will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices while providing a high level of customer service to employees. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on desktop support experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide onsite desktop and field support through a walk-up Tech Bar, including installation, repair, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues involving Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices. Diagnose complex desktop, hardware, software, and peripheral issues and coordinate escalations when needed. Assist users with technology questions and provide guidance on proper operation and maintenance of systems and equipment. Deliver professional, timely, and customer-focused technical support while balancing multiple priorities. Document user information, reported issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately. Identify recurring technical issues and assist with analyzing trends and potential solutions. Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate technical teams for additional testing and follow-up. Maintain accurate IT asset and inventory records, including equipment and parts transactions. Communicate technical information clearly to users with varying levels of technical knowledge. Work collaboratively with the IT support team to meet productivity, service, and customer satisfaction goals.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of desktop, field, or onsite IT support experience. Hands-on experience supporting corporate hardware, software, peripherals, and mobile devices. Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting. Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments. Familiarity with Android and iOS devices. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Onsite office environment with a customer-facing walk-up Tech Bar. Business casual dress environment. Frequent interaction with employees and end users requiring technical assistance.
