Job Description

Position Overview C&J Equipment Manufacturing is seeking a reliable and customer‑focused IT Assistant to support daily technology operations across our manufacturing and office environments. This role ensures employees have the tools, access, and technical support needed to keep production and administrative workflows running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Technical Support — Provide first‑level troubleshooting for computers, printers, mobile devices, network connectivity, and user account issues. Hardware Setup — Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, monitors, scanners, and other equipment. Software Support — Help with installing approved applications, performing updates, and resolving basic software problems. User Account Management — Support onboarding/offboarding tasks, password resets, and access permissions. Network Assistance — Monitor basic connectivity issues and escalate complex network problems to the IT Manager. Inventory Tracking — Maintain accurate logs of IT equipment, accessories, and consumables. Security Compliance — Assist with antivirus updates, patching schedules, and reinforcing cybersecurity best practices. Documentation — Record troubleshooting steps, equipment assignments, and system changes. Vendor Coordination — Support communication with external IT vendors when needed. Qualifications High school diploma required; technical certifications or coursework preferred 1-2 years of IT support or helpdesk experience preferred Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 40 lbs) Work Environment Manufacturing and office setting Requires mobility between workstations and departments Must respond quickly to urgent IT needs across multiple shifts
