SLAHR is looking for an experienced Apple Field Service Technician to join our team supporting Wynndalco Enterprises and NYC Department of Education schools throughout the Bronx and NYC. If you enjoy getting hands-on with technology, solving hardware and software problems, and working with Apple devices, this is an opportunity to take your technical skills into the field. You won't be sitting at a desk all day. You'll travel between NYC school locations and the warehouse, working directly with MacBooks, iMacs, Mac minis, and iPads and helping keep school technology up and running. What You'll Be Doing Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Apple devices including MacBooks, iMacs, Mac minis, and iPads Troubleshoot macOS and iPadOS hardware and software issues Configure, restore, and re-enroll devices using Apple Configurator and MDM Handle escalated service tickets and more complex technical issues Perform warranty triage and assist with RMA processes Document serial numbers, asset tags, repairs, and failure details accurately Complete same-day service documentation Travel between Bronx school sites and the NYC warehouse as needed Follow school security and access procedures Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, and school IT staff What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, technically strong, and comfortable working independently in the field.

Required:

2+ years of Apple hardware support and repair experience Strong knowledge of macOS and iPadOS Experience with Apple Configurator Experience supporting MDM-managed Apple devices Experience using ticketing systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and documentation skills Comfortable traveling between multiple NYC school locations Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or GED Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening Your Experience Doesn't Have to Be Perfect We'd love to see candidates with experience in Apple Authorized Service Provider environments, Jamf, K-12 technology, field service, desktop support, or Apple certifications such as ACMT or ACiT. If you have strong Apple repair experience and can troubleshoot problems confidently, we want to hear from you.
