- Full-time The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced technical generalist with strong networking skills to join our IT Operations team as an IT Support Technician II, based in the Oklahoma City Metro area.
In this Level 2 role, you'll be the escalation point for technical issues that need deeper troubleshooting, and you'll provide hands-on on-site support at customer locations across the region. You'll work across endpoints, servers, networks, Microsoft 365, cloud services, security tools, and backup and recovery systems. You'll own your work from diagnosis through resolution, documentation, and customer communication. You'll also help us spot recurring problems so we can fix them for good. What You'll Do
- Serve as a Level 2 escalation resource, troubleshooting complex endpoint, server, network, cloud, and Microsoft 365 issues for multiple customers.
- Own assigned issues from diagnosis through resolution, validation, and customer communication.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, MFA, and licensing. Assist with migrations and tenant changes.
- Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure.
- Serve as the team's networking go-to: design, troubleshoot, and support LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, switching, and firewall environments, including Fortinet and WatchGuard.
- Provide on-site support at customer locations across the Oklahoma City Metro area, including hardware installs, network and workstation deployments, and hands-on troubleshooting.
- Respond to backup and recovery exceptions, perform restores, and help with recovery testing.
- Respond to assigned security tickets and alerts, and promptly escalate suspected compromises.
- Work with vendors and our NOC and SOC partners to resolve technical cases.
- Document your work in Autotask and maintain customer documentation in IT Glue so the whole team benefits.
- Participate in technical projects and approved changes, following our change-management practices.
- Review ticket summaries, history, and troubleshooting notes to understand the bigger picture, assess customer impact, and begin triage. Guide Level 1 technicians on appropriate troubleshooting steps, next actions, and escalation paths; share knowledge and recommend automation and process improvements. What You Bring
- 3+ years of progressively responsible IT support, systems administration, network support, MSP, or comparable technical experience.
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot moderately complex technical issues.
- Ability to pivot quickly to the highest-priority items and move efficiently from one task to another in a fast-paced environment with little room for error.
- Strong working knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, switching, wireless, and VPN, along with several of the following: Microsoft 365 and Entra ID; Windows desktop and Windows Server; Active Directory and Group Policy; endpoint management and RMM platforms; PSA/ticketing systems; backup and disaster recovery; cybersecurity fundamentals, endpoint protection, and MFA; virtualization and cloud services.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication with customers and teammates.
- Strong documentation habits and good judgment about when to escalate. Work Environment & Requirements
- Onsite support and driving: Approximately 25% of your time will be spent driving to customer sites across the Oklahoma City Metro area.
- Overnight travel: Approximately 10% overnight travel for projects and onsite work.
