Job Description

Provide daily help desk support for employees, including troubleshooting computers, monitors, printers, phones, scanners, email, and basic software issues. Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other office technology. Support onboarding and offboarding by managing user accounts, setting up equipment, updating access, and collecting returned devices. Support Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and other commonly used business applications. Help maintain user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access requests under the direction of the IT Manager or designated leadership. Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, internet access, shared drives, and printer connections. Track, document, and follow up on IT support requests to ensure timely resolution. Maintain accurate inventory records for computers, phones, printers, software licenses, and related equipment. Assist with routine system updates, hardware replacements, software installations, and basic preventative maintenance. Support cybersecurity practices by helping employees follow safe technology use, password, email, and data protection procedures. Coordinate with outside vendors or service providers when needed. Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Manager, outside support provider, or appropriate vendor. Maintain confidentiality of company, employee, financial, and business information.
Qualifications Education:
High school diplomas or equivalent required. Associate degree, technical certification, or a combination of education and experience in information technology, computer science or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Prior IT help desk, technical support, or office technology support experience preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, Outlook, Teams, and basic computer hardware a must.
Skills :
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Basic understanding of printers, phones, networks, user accounts, and common office technology. Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills with a solution-based mind-set. Ability to work and communicate respectfully at all leaves of knowledge is non-negotiable. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Work Environment Office setting with regular interaction with Finance, operations, and other departments. Standard business hours, with the potential for extended hours during peak periods (e.g., month-end and year-end close). Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods. Occasional lifting of office materials (up to 15 lbs.). The IT Technician provides day-to-day technology support for office staff and business operations. This position is responsible for assisting employees with basic computers, printers, phones, software, account access, and network-related issues. The IT Technician helps ensure that employees have the tools, systems, and support needed to work efficiently and securely. This role requires a customer-service mindset, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical information in a clear and approachable way. Pay depends on experience.
