Junior Business Systems Analyst - IT & Application Support Position Summary We are looking for a motivated recent college graduate who wants to build a career in business technology, application support, IT operations, and systems administration within a manufacturing environment. This position will provide day-to-day technical support to employees while also developing knowledge of the company's business applications, Microsoft 365 environment, information security practices, reporting tools, and operational systems. The role is designed to grow with the successful candidate. Initially, the position will include a significant amount of user and desktop support. As the employee develops technical skills and business knowledge, responsibilities are expected to expand into application support, system administration, security, reporting, automation, and business process improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys technology, problem solving, working with users, and learning how business systems support an organization. Responsibilities IT & User Support Provide Level 1 technical support for Windows PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals, user accounts, and basic network connectivity. Troubleshoot hardware, software, login, printing, Microsoft 365, and application issues. Set up computers, accounts, and equipment for new employees. Assist with account creation, permissions, password resets, employee changes, and terminations. Install and configure approved software and business applications. Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures. Maintain accurate computer, software, and technology asset information. Escalate more complex infrastructure, network, application, or security issues when appropriate. Provide professional and responsive support to employees throughout the organization. Assist with the organization's information security program and develop knowledge of cybersecurity practices. Business Application Support Path The goal is for the role to grow beyond traditional Help Desk support into broader application, systems, security, and business technology responsibilities. Learn and support the company's business applications and technology platforms. Troubleshoot application issues, setup, user administration, security, and configuration. Participate in testing system changes, upgrades, patches, and new functionality. Assist with employee technology training. Business process improvement and automation. Develop increasing ownership of selected business applications as experience grows. Platforms include Microsoft 365 suite, Infor XA ERP, manufacturing systems, document management systems, reporting tools and addition 3rd party support applications. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field. Curiosity, inter-personal skills, analytical and problem-solving ability. Ability and desire to continuously learn new technologies. Previous experience working in the IT industry, including internships, co-op programs, part-time roles, or technical support experience, is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone with the aptitude, curiosity, and interest to learn. This position provides a strong foundation in IT support while offering significant opportunity to develop into application support, systems administration, security, reporting, and other areas of business technology.
