Position Summary The IT Technician provides technical support to the IT team in the implementation, maintenance, repair, and upgrading of the Company's technology infrastructure and systems. This position provides hands-on technical support to employees and departments throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and/or replace computer hardware, peripherals, phones, printers, and other IT equipment. Pull, terminate, label, test, and maintain Cat5/Cat6 network cabling as needed. Install, configure, test, and maintain wireless access points, security cameras, servers, workstations, and other IT hardware. Assist IT personnel with new technology projects, system upgrades, equipment installations, and other IT initiatives. Maintain appropriate documentation and records related to equipment, installations, repairs, and technical issues. Follow Company policies and procedures related to IT security, access, confidentiality, and appropriate use of Company technology. Safely use hand tools and other equipment necessary to perform IT installation, maintenance, and repair activities. Provide assistance and basic instruction to employees regarding the proper use of Company technology and equipment. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Valid state issued driver license Minimum of two years of IT technical training from accredited institution. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple technical issues. CompTIA Sec+ certified. Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, with all levels of the workforce
Work Environment:
The work environment for this position may include both office and manufacturing/production areas. The employee may spend considerable time standing and walking throughout the facility and may be required to work in areas with varying temperatures, including temperatures ranging from below 0 to 100+ degrees Fahrenheit. The position may require working at heights of up to 50 feet. Occasional heavy lifting may be required in connection with the installation, replacement, or relocation of IT equipment and systems.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the responsibilities of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands, handle and/or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to climb, work at heights of up to 50 feet, and work in hot or cold temperatures ranging from 0 to 100+ degrees Fahrenheit. The employee may occasionally be required to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and materials associated with IT installations and repairs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Second shift, 40 work week with overtime as needed and assigned. Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
