Full Time Position Summary:
Provides administrative and operational support for the IT department, with primary responsibility for technology procurement, inventory and asset records, budget coordination, scheduling, travel and expense processing, and departmental documentation. Coordinates equipment installation and service requests, maintains departmental communications and continuity records, and supports special projects as assigned by the CIO or designee.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement of equipment and inventory management. Also to include assigning installation and follow up with clients on completion. Working with departments throughout the year on needs and budget requirements for LT. supported equipment. Assisting the LT. coordinator with any reporting associated with dept budgets, inventory, and procurement needs. Assist the Office Management Coordinator with scheduling training sessions, processing expense reports, coordinating travel arrangements, and organizing departmental meetings and events. Learn Helpdesk tools and be prepared to guide clients to internal support resources. Receive, record, and identify requests via phone, email, & chat concerning a variety of IT related problems as well as event support requests. Develop positive environment to assist staff, faculty and students with technology concerns. D.R site management of Inventory and support during Disaster. Including all documentation and emergency food needs for a disaster situation. Maintain IT department web page Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned. 100%
On-site Presence Qualifications Physical Demands:
Able to traverse campus, lifting, carrying, handling, climbing, and balancing; ability to drive to off campus locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of current software applications in use at Brazosport College. Critical thinking and decision-making. Strong positive customer service skills.
Phone etiquette:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on working with customers Basic maintenance of desktop and laptop PC's; current server basic maintenance of desktop and laptop PC's; current server and desktop applications; knowledge of Windows 11 operating systems, academic applications. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Applications. Produce documents that effectively communicate information to an end user including training manuals and procedures. Business "writing for results" with an emphasis on e-mail writing. Associate's degree in a computer-related field preferred. Share job details to
