Job Description

IT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm On call hours will vary $23.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Deliver and setup computer hardware. This includes moving of computers, monitors, scanners, printers, and other related hardware from the setup or storage area to the associate's work area. Disassembling old computer hardware in the associate's area and setting up the new computer hardware. New computer hardware that is a PC requires the Installation of printer queues and printer drivers after setup. Also, the PC setup requires logging the associate in and giving a brief explanation on how the new computer works. Old computer hardware is completely removed from the associate's area for either disposal or storage. Responsible for the pick-up of miscellaneous personal computer hardware for disposal. This includes moving the disposal computer hardware to the Buildings and Grounds Department for salvage. Assist end users with setting up printers and troubleshooting printer issues. Install, replace, and troubleshoot computers, printers, and related hardware throughout a manufacturing facility, including office and production areas. Assist with cable installation and network line drops throughout the facility, including working from a lift at elevated heights. Print and maintain barcodes. Perform other related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or two-year degree in related area required. 1-2 years previous experience preferred, however, candidates with less experience may be considered if the candidate possesses strong knowledge of computer hardware. Experience with Microsoft Office is essential. Telephone etiquette and the ability to interface with users and staff is required. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and using a lift to perform tasks at elevated heights. Must able to handle a fast-paced work environment. Must be comfortable working at tall heights, in a lift, several feet in the air.
